Former Wesleyan Church & Parsonage Wesley Uniting Church 96 Yarra Street (Cnr Little Ryrie Street),, GEELONG VIC 3220 - Property No B5584	Victoria's oldest surviving Wesleyan church, begun in 1846, but modified beyond recongition by later work, including major additions in 1859, and to the interior by Butler & Ussher in 1893. The elaborate west end, consisting of a narthex with flanking, heavily buttressed polygonal chapels, was added in 1932, giving the building much of its unusual character. Built in 1888-9 it is of interest for its recessed facade flanked by twin towers, the larger - to the left - with bell cast slate spire.
